Sgt. Salty and Gildig are perched on their stools, clinking frosty Duff beers. Barney belches in the background while Moe wipes down the counter.

Salty raises his glass:
“Here’s to spongey brakes, soup-mobiles, and dodgy salesmen. Yummmiezzzz!”

Gildig laughs, nearly spilling his pint.
“And to never… EVER trusting an ‘employee of the month’ again.”

Suddenly, the tavern TV flickers on — Kent Brockman announces:
“Tonight’s top story: Two mysterious men terrorize Springfield dealerships, leaving behind confusion, laughter, and one salesman crying into a cracked bumper.”

Salty and Gildig look at each other, shrug, and roar with laughter.
“Wheyyyyyyyy!”

Smash cut to: Homer bursting in, waving his hands.
“Salty! You’re supposed to be at the Power Plant!”

Salty: “Tell Burns my new car broke down… oh wait, I didn’t buy one!”

Freeze frame mid-laugh → credits roll.
