Another Walshyy birthday 2026
π Another Walshyy Birthday — 2026 π
The Party That Probably Should Have Been Stopped at the Planning Stage
Everyone was making their way to the Party.
And, as was traditional for a Walshyy birthday, nobody was entirely sure who had organised it, where exactly it was being held, or why there appeared to be a military tank approaching from the direction of the motorway.
But then again, this was 2026.
Normality had officially left the building.
Leading the procession was Salty, naturally.
And Salty wasn't driving some boring family hatchback.
Oh no.
Salty was driving a Leopard 2.
The enormous tank rumbled majestically down the road, Salty sitting behind the controls with the relaxed confidence of a man who had absolutely no business being in charge of several dozen tonnes of German engineering.
He was dressed smartly, as usual, wearing sunglasses despite the distinctly Irish weather.
"Salty," came a voice over the radio.
It was Whizz.
"What?"
"Why are you bringing a tank to Walshyy's birthday?"
Salty considered the question.
"Because I don't want to be late."
There was silence.
"Salty, it's a tank."
"Exactly."
And with that, Salty accelerated.
Several miles behind him came Ye Olde Large Lad, who had decided that arriving at the party in a vehicle would be far too ordinary.
He was walking.
Not because he couldn't afford transport.
Not because he'd missed the bus.
He simply believed that a birthday party was best approached with a certain amount of theatrical grandeur.
He wore his finest clothes, sunglasses, and an expression suggesting he'd already been informed that there would be cake.
Lots of cake.
"How far?" he asked.
Whizz, travelling alongside him, checked the map.
"About three miles."
Ye Olde Large Lad nodded.
"Excellent."
"You're not tired?"
"No."
"Thirsty?"
"Yes."
"There's a pub just up ahead."
Ye Olde Large Lad stopped.
"Why didn't you mention that immediately?"
Meanwhile, The Stig was making his own way to the party.
Nobody knew where The Stig had come from.
Nobody knew where The Stig was going.
Nobody had even seen him enter his vehicle.
But everyone knew one thing:
The Stig was going to be early.
A mysterious black-clad blur appeared on the horizon.
Then disappeared.
Then reappeared.
Then disappeared again.
Walshyy received a message.
«The Stig is here.»
Walshyy frowned.
"Here where?"
Another message arrived.
«Nobody knows.»
This seemed entirely appropriate.
And then there was Purty.
Purty was making a considerably more sensible journey to the party and had spent most of the morning attempting to convince everyone that they should simply arrive normally.
This had failed.
Spectacularly.
"Can we please just have one birthday where nobody turns up in a tank?"
Purty asked.
Nobody answered.
"Seriously."
Still nothing.
Then the unmistakable rumble of Salty's Leopard 2 echoed through the distance.
Purty closed their eyes.
"Of course."
Eventually, the convoy began to assemble.
Whizz arrived first, loudly announcing that he had brought everything required for a successful birthday party.
"Food?"
"Yes."
"Drinks?"
"Yes."
"Birthday cake?"
Whizz paused.
"...Possibly."
Purty stared at him.
"Whizz."
"I knew I'd forgotten something."
"THE CAKE?"
"I brought crisps!"
"Walshyy's birthday cake is more important than crisps!"
Whizz looked offended.
"That's an opinion."
Then Ye Olde Large Lad arrived.
"Where's the cake?"
Everyone pointed at Whizz.
Ye Olde Large Lad looked disappointed.
"Unacceptable."
Then came The Stig.
Nobody saw him arrive.
One minute there was nobody there.
The next minute The Stig was standing beside them.
Purty nearly jumped.
"Where did you come from?"
The Stig said nothing.
"Did you walk?"
Silence.
"Drive?"
Silence.
"Teleport?"
The Stig simply stared.
"Right. Fine."
Then came the sound.
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMM.
Everyone turned.
The Leopard 2 appeared around the corner.
Salty brought it to a dramatic halt.
Dust floated around the vehicle.
The engine growled.
Salty climbed out.
"Happy birthday, Walshyy."
Walshyy stared at the tank.
Then at Salty.
Then back at the tank.
"Why?"
Salty shrugged.
"Party transport."
"Where did you even get a Leopard 2?"
Salty smiled.
"Don't worry about it."
"That's exactly what I'm worried about."
And then, finally, Walshyy appeared.
It was, after all, Walshyy's birthday.
The entire gathering erupted.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WALSHYY!"
Walshyy looked around at the assembled madness.
Whizz.
Ye Olde Large Lad.
The Stig.
Purty.
Salty.
And, inexplicably, a Leopard 2.
Walshyy smiled.
"Is this it?"
Salty looked offended.
"Is this it?"
Walshyy nodded.
"Where's everyone else?"
There was a pause.
Whizz looked at Ye Olde Large Lad.
Ye Olde Large Lad looked at Purty.
Purty looked at The Stig.
The Stig looked at Salty.
Salty looked at the tank.
Then, from somewhere in the distance, another vehicle could be heard approaching.
Whizz slowly turned around.
"Oh no."
"What?" asked Walshyy.
Whizz pointed towards the road.
"That's the second convoy."
Walshyy's eyes widened.
"There's a second convoy?"
Salty smiled.
"Of course."
Purty put their head in their hands.
"Salty, what have you done?"
"Nothing."
"That's never true."
Salty climbed back into the Leopard 2.
"Right."
Walshyy stared at him.
"Where are you going?"
"To get the cake."
"You can't go and get a cake in a Leopard 2!"
Salty paused.
"Why not?"
"Because it's completely ridiculous!"
Ye Olde Large Lad nodded thoughtfully.
"Actually, I think it has potential."
Purty immediately turned towards him.
"Don't encourage him."
Too late.
The Leopard 2 started.
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMM.
Whizz shouted:
"GET A CHOCOLATE CAKE!"
Salty gave a thumbs-up from the hatch.
And off he went.
The Stig followed.
Nobody knew why.
Ye Olde Large Lad followed The Stig.
Nobody knew why either.
Purty reluctantly followed everyone else.
And Walshyy stood there watching the entire birthday party disappear down the road.
For approximately five seconds.
Then Walshyy grinned.
"Well..."
Whizz looked over.
"What?"
Walshyy pointed towards the road.
"We're going after them."
Whizz smiled.
"Now that's more like it."
And so the 2026 Walshyy Birthday Expedition officially began.
The party had started.
The cake was somewhere inside a military tank.
The Stig was leading a convoy nobody understood.
Ye Olde Large Lad was already looking for somewhere to stop for refreshments.
Purty was questioning every life decision that had brought them here.
Whizz had somehow lost the birthday balloons.
And Salty?
Salty was driving a Leopard 2 through the Irish countryside shouting over the radio:
"EVERYONE FOLLOW ME!"
Nobody knew where he was going.
Nobody knew whether he knew where he was going.
But it was Walshyy's birthday.
And somehow, against all odds, everyone was having the time of their lives.
By sunset, they finally arrived back at the party.
Salty parked the Leopard 2 beside the venue.
The cake had survived.
Mostly.
Walshyy blew out the candles.
Everyone cheered.
Ye Olde Large Lad immediately asked for another slice.
Purty finally relaxed.
Whizz found the balloons.
The Stig mysteriously vanished again.
And Salty stood proudly beside his tank.
Walshyy raised a glass.
"To another year."
Everyone raised theirs.
"To Walshyy!"
Salty raised his glass last.
"And to the Leopard 2."
Everyone stared at him.
Salty shrugged.
"What?"
Walshyy burst out laughing.
And that, as everyone agreed, was probably the only appropriate way to finish another Walshyy birthday.
Happy Birthday, Walshyy! ππ
May 2026 bring you good times, great friends, questionable decisions, and — apparently — military-grade party transport.
Same crew. Bigger madness. Another year.
