Salty leans over the hotel balcony, aiming the red laser across the narrow street into a third-floor apartment. Inside, a shirtless Frenchman reading a book pauses, blinking.

Sarah giggles behind a curtain as the man bolts upright, scanning the street. Salty ducks, whispering, “Operation Duck Dive successful!”

The man leans out, confused. Salty peeks, points the beam again, and the man grabs a tennis racket—shouting “Mais qu’est-ce que c’est?!”
