🗡️ SHERA — SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR JOINS THE BIG SALTY DOG UNIVERSE
There are some people who simply walk into a story… and then there are people who arrive and immediately take over the bloody place.
Ladies and gentlemen, readers of the Big Salty Dog, prepare yourselves.
Because this time, we have a very special guest entering our increasingly questionable fictional universe.
Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Or, as she shall henceforth be known around these parts…
SHERA! ⚔️👑
Yes, our favourite.
And before anyone gets confused, this is our completely fictional Big Salty Dog concept of “Shera” — a larger-than-life character inspired by the legendary screen presence of Sarah Michelle Gellar.
And believe me, Shera is not here to stand around quietly drinking tea.
She's got things to do.
⚔️ ENTER SHERA
The story begins on an unusually peaceful afternoon.
That should have been the first warning.
Mr. Salty was sitting comfortably, enjoying himself and probably believing that, for once, absolutely nothing ridiculous was going to happen.
Big mistake.
Suddenly, there's a noise from outside.
Not a car.
Not a motorbike.
Not even Ye Olde Large Lad arriving dramatically for once.
No.
It's the unmistakable sound of someone approaching with purpose.
The doors swing open.
And there she stands.
Shera.
Confident.
Determined.
Cool as you like.
And looking around the room as if she's already worked out exactly who is responsible for the mess.
Her eyes settle on Salty.
Salty looks at Shera.
Shera looks at Salty.
Salty immediately realises that this woman is going to be trouble.
The good kind of trouble.
🐾 SALTY MEETS HIS MATCH
“Who are you?” Salty asks.
Shera raises an eyebrow.
“I'm Shera.”
There is a pause.
Salty nods slowly.
“Right.”
Another pause.
“Should I know you?”
Shera gives him the look.
The kind of look that makes a man reconsider every decision he's made since breakfast.
“Probably.”
Salty suddenly becomes extremely interested in his drink.
And that, dear readers, is how Shera officially enters the Big Salty Dog universe.
👑 SHERA'S RULES
Shera quickly establishes that she has a few rules.
Rule number one: Don't be an idiot.
This immediately eliminates approximately 73% of the people Salty knows.
Rule number two: If you're going to make a mess, clean it up.
Salty looks towards Ye Olde Large Lad.
Ye Olde Large Lad looks towards Salty.
Neither says a word.
Rule number three: Never underestimate Shera.
Everyone nods.
Even The Stig.
Especially The Stig.
😂 THEN THE WALSHYY CREW ARRIVES
Of course, it wouldn't be a Big Salty Dog story without the usual collection of characters turning up at precisely the wrong moment.
Whizz arrives.
Ye Olde Large Lad appears.
Walshyy is somewhere nearby.
The Stig is mysteriously silent.
Purty is probably wondering what the hell is going on.
And Salty?
Salty is trying to look as though he has everything completely under control.
He doesn't.
Shera takes one look around.
“Is this normal?”
There is silence.
Eventually Whizz replies:
“Pretty much.”
Shera shakes her head.
“I'm going to need a bigger sword.”
⚔️ SHERA VS THE BIG SALTY DOG
And this is where things become interesting.
Shera isn't simply another character.
She's the sort of character who changes the entire dynamic.
She's intelligent, confident, funny and completely capable of giving Salty a run for his money.
Salty has always considered himself fairly good at getting out of difficult situations.
Shera, however, has a rather irritating habit of seeing through him immediately.
Salty attempts one of his famous excuses.
Shera isn't impressed.
He tries another.
Even less impressed.
Eventually Salty resorts to his final weapon:
charm.
Shera stares at him.
Salty smiles.
Shera smiles back.
Salty immediately knows he's lost.
“Fine,” he says.
Shera raises an eyebrow.
“Fine what?”
“Nothing.”
“That's what I thought.”
🐾 A NEW BIG SALTY DOG ADVENTURE
The beauty of Shera joining the Big Salty Dog universe is that she opens up a whole new set of possibilities.
Imagine Salty and Shera being sent on a ridiculous mission together.
Imagine Whizz attempting to organise them.
Imagine Ye Olde Large Lad deciding he's the tactical expert.
Imagine The Stig silently driving them somewhere at terrifying speed.
And imagine Purty watching all of this unfold and thinking:
“These people are completely bloody mad.”
She wouldn't be wrong.
The adventure could take them anywhere.
A mysterious castle.
A forgotten forest.
A suspiciously fancy hotel.
A party that was supposed to be “quiet”.
Or perhaps somewhere even more dangerous…
A Walshyy gathering.
Even Shera might need her sword for that one.
❤️ WHY SHERA FITS PERFECTLY
There's something wonderfully entertaining about introducing a character like Shera into the Big Salty Dog world.
She's strong without needing to constantly prove it.
She's confident without taking herself too seriously.
And most importantly, she can give as good as she gets.
That's exactly what this universe needs.
Because Salty doesn't need another person who simply agrees with him.
He needs someone who can look him directly in the eye and say:
“No, Salty. That's a terrible idea.”
And then watch as Salty does it anyway.
Shera would probably follow him.
Not because she thinks it's sensible.
But because she's already figured out that the resulting chaos is going to be hilarious.
🐾 THE FUTURE OF SHERA
So where does Shera go from here?
Well, that's the beauty of the Big Salty Dog universe.
There are no limits.
Perhaps she becomes Salty's most trusted ally.
Perhaps she becomes his greatest rival.
Perhaps the two of them spend most of their time arguing.
Perhaps she becomes the only person capable of keeping Ye Olde Large Lad, Whizz, Walshyy and the rest of the gang remotely under control.
Or perhaps…
Shera simply takes over.
And if we're being completely honest, that's probably what is going to happen.
Because when Shera walks into the room, people pay attention.
When she picks up her sword, people start behaving.
And when she looks at Salty and says:
“Come on, Big Salty Dog. We've got an adventure to deal with.”
Salty knows better than to argue.
He grabs his jacket.
The Stig starts the engine.
Whizz starts panicking.
Ye Olde Large Lad claims he's in charge.
Walshyy wonders where the drinks are.
And Shera simply smiles.
Another adventure is about to begin.
🐾 FINAL THOUGHTS
So welcome to the Big Salty Dog universe, Shera!
Inspired by the fabulous Sarah Michelle Gellar, our fictional Shera is exactly the sort of character this mad little world has been waiting for.
She's brave.
She's funny.
She's clever.
She's more than capable of handling herself.
And, most importantly, she's absolutely perfect for dealing with Salty and his gang of complete lunatics.
One thing is certain:
The Big Salty Dog universe will never be quite the same again.
And somehow, I have a feeling Salty is going to be getting himself into a whole lot more trouble.
But that's alright.
Because he's got Shera.
And she's got the sword. ⚔️😎
