Episode: Sgt. Salty & Gildig’s Car Hunt
Chapter 1 – The Great Dealership Dash
It was a sunny Springfield morning when Sgt. Salty buttoned up his shirt, slapped on his shades, and met Gildig Maxwell outside Moe’s.
“Today’s the day, lad,” Salty said with a grin. “We’re getting ourselves a motor that screams Yummmiezzzz.”
Gildig puffed out his chest. “As long as it’s not one of those clown cars with no boot space. I need room for my kebabs.”
First stop: Springfield Volkswagen. Inside, Hans Moleman was the salesman.
“This here Golf has excellent mileage…” he mumbled.
“Wheyyyyyy, do I look like I want excellent mileage? I want power, lad! Power enough to splattttttt and destroyizzz the motorway!” Salty barked.
Hans blinked. “It also comes in beige.”
“Beige?” Gildig scoffed. “I’d rather walk!”
They left laughing, and headed to Opel Springfield, where Barney was the part-time dealer.
“This one’s reliable,” Barney hiccuped, “just don’t spill beer on the seats.”
Gildig leaned in. “Too late — Salty here sweats lager.”
By midday, they’d been through Nissan, Ford, and Skoda. At Ford, Nelson sold them on “a car that bullies smaller cars.” At Skoda, Comic Book Guy pitched, “Best value… if you are poor.”
Salty looked at Gildig. “Well lad, what’s it to be?”
Gildig rubbed his chin. “None yet. But I know one thing — we’re not done until we’ve test-driven every beast in Springfield!”
Salty raised a fist: “DESTROYIZZZZZ the dealerships!”
And so began their four-wheeled adventure…
