Chapter 2 – Dannyboy’s Big Announcement
Dannyboy clinked his beer bottle against a glass, grabbing everyone’s attention. The rooftop fell silent as the city breeze rustled Fiona’s red hair and Sarah’s turquoise sarong fluttered softly. Susan folded her arms curiously, and Nicole crossed her toned legs, eyes locked on him.
“I’ve got news,” Dannyboy began, his voice wavering slightly despite his cheeky grin. “This is my last party… for now.”
Fiona gasped. “What do you mean?”
He took a deep breath, glancing at Mr. Salty and The Govna for strength. “I’m heading to America next week… to study Medicine.”
There was a stunned silence. Nicole’s lips curled into a proud smile. “Dannyboy, that’s amazing.”
The Govna raised his rum with a grin. “Yeah, yeah, yeah… doctor Dannyboy, yummmiezzzz.”
Salty stepped forward, clapping Dannyboy on the back. “Proud of ya, lad. Tonight, we celebrate you.”
Dannyboy’s eyes glistened as cheers erupted into the starry night.
