Chapter 10 – Dawn’s Goodbye
The rooftop club was nearly empty as dawn painted the Manhattan skyline with soft pink and gold. Dannyboy sat on a velvet lounge, Sarah curled against him, her head resting on his chest. He traced lazy circles along her bare arm, feeling her breathing slow and steady.
“I don’t want you to go,” she whispered sleepily, her blue eyes shimmering.
He kissed her forehead gently. “I’ll be back, love. You’ll see. And when I am, you’ll be the first I find.”
Nearby, Nicole sat beside Sgt. Salty on a private balcony, their legs intertwined under a silk blanket. She kissed his lips softly, her green eyes glowing in the dawn light. “You’re staying in America for a while, yeah?” she asked.
Salty smirked, brushing her hair from her face. “For you? I’ll make it work.”
In the darkest corner, The Govna cradled Susan in his powerful arms, her red dress pushed down to her waist. Her bare chest pressed against him as he kissed her deeply, possessively. “I’ll never forget tonight,” she whispered shakily.
He chuckled softly, biting her lower lip. “Yeah, yeah, yeah… yummmiezzzz… splattttttttttt.”
McFinleyyy entered from the main bar, carrying takeaway coffees for everyone. “Hold all da chipsiieee!!!! Morning brews for the crew,” he shouted, making them all laugh as the early city sounds drifted up from below.
Dannyboy stood, helping Sarah to her feet. He turned to his friends – Sgt. Salty, The Govna, McFinleyyy, Nicole, and Susan. His eyes glistened with pride and love. “Thank you all… for tonight, for everything.”
The Govna smirked, flicking ash from his morning cigar. “You’re gonna be a great doctor, lad. But remember… life’s about more than work.”
“Yeah,” Salty added with a grin, wrapping an arm around Nicole’s waist. “It’s about nights like this.”
As they all hugged him tightly under the golden dawn, Dannyboy knew his journey was only beginning – but these friends, these moments of love, lust, and laughter, would carry him through anything.
