Chapter 6 A Salty crossover
๐บ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ช STG. SALTY AND THE MISFITS
Final Chapter — Back to Normal… Mostly
The Leopard 2 was travelling down an American motorway.
Inside it were the Smiths, the Griffins, Stg. Salty and the entire Misfit gang.
Roger was still navigating.
Which meant nobody had any idea where they were.
Stan had finally given up.
He was sitting in the corner with his arms folded, staring at the ceiling.
“I just want to go home.”
Peter was eating a doughnut.
“We are home.”
Stan looked at him.
“No, Peter. We're in a tank.”
Peter looked around.
“Oh yeah.”
Suddenly, the tank began to shake.
BOOOOOOOOM!
Everyone screamed.
Salty slammed on the brakes.
“What the hell was that?”
A strange green portal appeared directly in front of the tank.
Out stepped an elderly man with wild grey hair, a lab coat and a flask.
Behind him was a nervous teenager.
The old man looked at the tank.
Then at the people inside it.
Then back at the tank.
“Morty…”
“Yeah, Rick?”
“I think we took a wrong turn.”
Morty looked around.
“Are we in the wrong universe again?”
Rick took a drink from his flask.
“Probably.”
Stan climbed out.
“Who are you?”
Rick pointed at himself.
“Rick Sanchez.”
He pointed at Morty.
“That's Morty.”
Morty waved awkwardly.
“Hi.”
Peter climbed out behind Stan.
“Hi, Rick!”
Rick stared at him.
“How do you know my name?”
Peter shrugged.
“Television.”
Rick paused.
“Fair enough.”
---
RICK DISCOVERS THE MISFITS
Rick looked inside the tank.
“What is this?”
Salty smiled.
“This is the Misfits.”
Rick stared at Govna.
“Okay.”
Quags waved.
“Hello.”
Rick looked at Quags.
Then at Quagmire.
Then back at Quags.
“Why are there two of him?”
Quagmire grinned.
“Giggidy.”
Quags immediately replied:
“GIGGGIDDDDYYYY!”
Rick rubbed his forehead.
“Morty, I already hate this universe.”
Morty nodded.
“Yeah, Rick.”
Rick looked at Salty.
“You people have caused a dimensional anomaly.”
Salty frowned.
“Is that bad?”
Rick stared at him.
“You've got a tank, two Griffins, an alien, an Irish Misfit gang, an FBI agent and two people screaming 'giggidy'.”
He paused.
“Actually, I don't think the universe can handle much more.”
---
THE PROBLEM
Rick pulled out a strange device.
“This machine is going to reset the dimensional disturbance.”
Stan looked relieved.
“Finally.”
Rick held up a finger.
“But there's a catch.”
Stan's face dropped.
“Of course there is.”
Rick explained that the Smiths, Griffins and Misfits had accidentally crossed into several different cartoon universes during their road trip.
Peter looked impressed.
“How many?”
Rick checked his device.
“Seven.”
Peter smiled.
“Cool.”
Brian sighed.
“Peter, that's not cool.”
Peter shrugged.
“I've always wanted to visit seven universes.”
Rick pressed a button.
A giant portal appeared.
Everyone started floating.
Roger screamed.
“MY HAT!”
His hat flew through the portal.
Roger jumped after it.
Stan grabbed him.
“NO!”
Roger grabbed the hat.
“Got it!”
They both fell back into the tank.
---
THE GREAT RESET
Rick shouted:
“Everyone hold on!”
The machine began glowing.
The Leopard 2 shook.
The lights flashed.
Peter disappeared.
Then reappeared.
Quags disappeared.
Then reappeared.
Quagmire disappeared.
Then reappeared.
“GIGGIDY!”
“GIGGGIDDDDYYYY!”
Rick shouted:
“STOP DOING THAT!”
The machine beeped.
BEEP.
Everything went completely white.
Then…
Silence.
---
MONDAY MORNING
Stan Smith woke up in his own bed.
He looked around.
Everything was normal.
No tank.
No Misfits.
No Griffins.
No Roger.
He smiled.
“Finally.”
He walked downstairs.
Francine was making breakfast.
“Morning, Stan.”
Stan smiled.
“Morning.”
He sat down.
Francine put a plate in front of him.
“Sleep well?”
Stan paused.
“I had the strangest dream.”
Francine looked at him.
“What happened?”
Stan frowned.
“There was a tank.”
Francine laughed.
“A tank?”
“Yeah.”
“And a group of Irish people.”
Francine raised an eyebrow.
“Sounds like you.”
Stan continued.
“And Peter Griffin.”
Francine stared at him.
“Who?”
Stan shook his head.
“Never mind.”
He took a bite of breakfast.
Everything was peaceful.
Normal.
Quiet.
Then the front door opened.
Roger walked in.
“Good morning!”
Stan froze.
Roger was wearing his usual clothes.
No sequinned jacket.
No cowboy hat.
No ridiculous disguise.
Stan stared at him.
“Roger…”
“Yes?”
“Do you remember anything?”
Roger thought.
“No.”
Stan smiled.
“Good.”
Roger walked towards the kitchen.
Then stopped.
“Although…”
Stan looked nervous.
“What?”
Roger pointed at him.
“I have a strange feeling we've been on a road trip.”
Stan's face went pale.
“No.”
Roger nodded slowly.
“And there was a tank.”
Stan slammed his hands on the table.
“NO!”
Francine laughed.
“You two are weird.”
---
BACK TO NORMAL
Across town, Peter Griffin woke up in his own bed.
Lois looked at him.
“Morning.”
Peter smiled.
“Morning.”
He paused.
“Lois?”
“Yes?”
“I think I just had the greatest dream ever.”
“What happened?”
“I met these Irish lads.”
Lois smiled.
“You've never met Irish lads.”
Peter frowned.
“I'm sure I did.”
He shrugged.
“Anyway…”
He opened the fridge.
There was a single doughnut inside.
Peter stared at it.
His eyes widened.
“This is proof.”
Lois sighed.
“Proof of what?”
Peter smiled.
“Everything.”
---
BACK IN IRELAND
Meanwhile, Stg. Salty and the Misfits were sitting in their usual spot.
Salty looked around.
“Anyone else feel like something strange happened?”
Govna shook his head.
“Nope.”
Quags frowned.
“I feel like I've met someone who looks exactly like me.”
McFinleyyy looked at him.
“You probably did.”
Whizz looked confused.
“Why?”
Quags thought about it.
“Can't remember.”
Ye Olde Large Lad shrugged.
“Anyone hungry?”
Everyone nodded.
Senior Salty looked at Senior Miguel.
“Tea?”
Senior Miguel smiled.
“Always.”
Sarah and Susan laughed.
Lucy and Laura chatted away.
Big Al's Buggers were already arguing over who had eaten the last biscuit.
Everything was normal.
Almost.
Salty reached into his pocket.
He pulled out a strange green flask.
Everyone stared at it.
“Where did that come from?”
Nobody knew.
Suddenly, the flask spoke.
“Morty!”
Everyone screamed.
A tiny hologram of Rick appeared above it.
“Wrong universe again.”
Morty appeared beside him.
“Rick, where are we?”
Rick looked around.
He saw Salty.
He saw the Misfits.
He sighed.
“Don't worry.”
He pressed a button.
The hologram disappeared.
Silence.
Quags looked at Salty.
Salty looked at Quags.
Quags smiled.
“Giggidy?”
Salty shook his head.
“No.”
Quags nodded.
“Fair enough.”
Everyone laughed.
Salty raised his cup of tea.
“To normality.”
Everyone raised their cups.
“To normality!”
There was a pause.
Then Whizz looked outside.
“What's that?”
Everyone turned.
In the distance, a Leopard 2 tank was slowly rolling towards them.
Salty stared.
“That's not normal.”
The tank stopped.
The hatch opened.
Roger's head appeared.
“HELLO!”
Stan's voice came from inside.
“ROGER, GET OUT OF THE TANK!”
Peter shouted:
“WHERE ARE WE GOING?”
Quagmire's voice followed:
“GIGGIDY!”
Quags immediately jumped onto the tank.
“SUPER GIGGGIDDDDYYYY!”
Everyone cheered.
Salty looked directly at the reader.
“Well…”
He smiled.
“I suppose things aren't going back to normal after all.”
The Misfits cheered.
The Smiths shouted.
The Griffins laughed.
Roger pressed a button.
BOOOOOOOOM!
The screen went black.
THE END
Or is it? ๐๐ฎ๐ช๐บ๐ธ
